¡Viva Villa! Festival takes over the Gaîté Lyrique for a program of performances, screenings, meetings, concerts, cross-dialogues and workshops!
¡Viva Villa! is an initiative to support contemporary artistic production and dissemination bringing together a network of artists and researchers who have passed through one of the French residencies abroad: the Casa de Velázquez (Madrid, Spain), the Villa Albertine (United States), the Villa Kujoyama (Kyoto, Japan) and the Villa Medici (Rome, Italy).
¡Viva Villa! has the primary purpose of presenting the works of residents, whether they are visual artists, musicians, writers, but also art artisans, filmmakers, photographers-choreographers or even historians, artists or designers. Continuing the tradition of pecha kucha, the residents of the four villas take stock of the progress of their residency projects and the state of their research.
Next Friday, October 20, ¡Viva Villa! Festival takes over the Gaîté Lyrique for a program of performances, screenings, meetings, concerts, cross-dialogues and workshops.
In the presence of 80 artists and researchers from: Casa de Velázquez, Villa Albertine, Villa Kujoyama, Villa Médicis.
