Another Gaze, Cinelimite and Instituto Moreira Salles present:

Six Times Woman - towards freedom under dictatorship: a program featuring works by filmmakers Helena Solberg, Eunice Gutman, Inês Castilho, Regina Chamliam, Maria Inês Villares and Maria Inês Nunes Castilho, including recent digitizations in 2k and 4K made possible by the Brazilian Film Digitalization Initiative project. The selected films address issues such as the place of women in society during the military dictatorship, sexual freedom, the struggles of women from different social groups in Brazil, marginal subjectivities, mental health, silenced female voices, and cinema as a tool for political and aesthetic demands.

This program is an offshoot of the Women: Another Story exhibition, producd by Cinelimite and Another Gaze, which will also show 2K scans of the films Mulheres: uma outra história (1988), by Eunice Gutman, and Sulanca (1986), by Katia Mesel.
